Overview
This role involves leading and coordinating projects across technical teams, customers, and mission stakeholders, with responsibility for delivering complex defense technology programs from initial conception through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct cross-functional teams managing intricate technical programs within schedule and budget constraints
- Bridge communication gaps between engineering, customers, and mission stakeholders
- Establish and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverable tracking
- Identify program risks and develop appropriate mitigation approaches
- Translate between technical and non-technical team members
- Uphold security protocols and regulatory compliance standards
- Monitor performance metrics and deliver regular updates to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent field
- Minimum 5 years program or project management experience
- Technical program management background within defense or government contracting sectors
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes
- Strong presentation and interpersonal capabilities
- Cross-stakeholder collaboration experience
- Current PMP certification or equivalent credentials
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Business Administration or Engineering Management
- Defense acquisition process experience
- Cybersecurity and information assurance background
- Agile and DevOps methodology familiarity
- Government contracting and compliance knowledge
Security Clearance
This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Top Secret level or above.
