Senior Project Manager

Overview

This role involves managing sophisticated, multi-departmental initiatives with accountability across scope, timeline, budget, and deliverable quality. The position requires designing operational frameworks, addressing risks and prospects, connecting contractual goals with technical strategy, orchestrating significant milestone reviews, and collaborating with procurement and accounting teams on funding structures and timeline modifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform contractual and customer directives into concrete action plans addressing scope, timeline, expenditure, and standards
• Serve as the key contact for Department of Defense officers, financial departments, and executive teams
• Project monetary allocations and personnel needs, then structure them into operational approaches
• Guarantee adherence to pertinent rules, directives, and examination protocols
• Direct adoption of contemporary project oversight approaches, specifically Agile/Scrum, suited to defense technology initiatives
• Build capabilities of emerging project leads and administrative staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent background
• Eight or more years managing initiatives in sophisticated defense or technology sectors
• Demonstrated competency directing cross-functional workforces with emphasis on partnership management
• History of overseeing programs valued in millions with accomplished delivery outcomes
• Superior capabilities in interpersonal exchange, contract negotiation, and speaking engagements
• Capacity to function under demanding, dynamic circumstances

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Commerce, IT, Tech Protection, or associated areas
• Understanding of automated deployment and safety-focused development methodologies
• Background with defense contracting or governmental procurement procedures
• Familiarity with defense procurement frameworks
• Background directing distributed teams across regions
