Talon Defense seeks engineers to design, build, and deploy secure scalable systems for cyber, analytical, or operational use cases in defense technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement software systems for defense applications
- Apply security-focused development practices
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams on project delivery
- Conduct peer code reviews
- Leverage contemporary development tools and frameworks
- Document technical approaches and solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Minimum three years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
- Hands-on cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure)
- Knowledge of software security fundamentals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work in defense or cybersecurity sectors
- Container orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
- JavaScript and SQL competency
- Continuous integration/deployment pipeline familiarity
- Microservices design background
Security Clearance
Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Top Secret level or above.
